@Voltan Nice one, congrats ! Looking forward to try it soon.

#342 Final Fantasy XII : The Zodiac Age - Well, this one was a lot of work ! I remember loving this game when it released, but I realized I didn't have that much memories of it. It still as great as ever, the story is still epic, but the platinum is a real grind. Speed mode helps but still, this is a very long journey.

Platinum #88 God of War Ragnarok.

I took my time with this one. I didn't want it to end.

Congrats @Cornaboyzzz, I actually picked this up cheap a couple of months back. I’ve only played FFXV and FFVII Remake but I enjoyed them both, so thought it was worth a go due to it being like £5.00. How long do you think the Platinum took you?

@Splat well done dude, such a good game that I’ll be replaying the PS4 version to get a second play]t for it in a year or two for sure.

Platinum #113 - Captain America: Super Soldier - really enjoyed this, if you have a PS3 and haven’t tried it, I’d heartily recommend.

Platinum #114 - Enter Digiton: Heart of Corruption - some shovelware accompaniment

@Cornaboyzzz ahh that’s not too bad, I think I’ll keep it for 2024/5 when there won’t be any new FF releases.

@RogerRoger yeah it’s already creeping up in price tbh. I managed to pick it up for £22.00 a few months back, which while not an exorbitant price… it’s still a little weighty. I’ve since seen it up around £40.00 in certain quarters though, so I’d definitely move fast if you do intend on playing it.

Congrats @Cornaboyzzz @Splat @colonelkilgore!

My trophy-winning has slowed. Enjoying GOW Ragnarok but so far the trophies aren't popping. I'm assuming they'll come further into the game. I'm only about 8 hours in.

@ScarletSpidey I was like that most of the game but have popped a load post main story. I've not got too many to do now but I'm sure I've spent more time than a lot of people getting to where I have. Think I'm on about 60 hours now and still a few of the big trophies to go 😅

@JudgeDredd
Yeah that was an annoying trophy for sure.
I think it was put in to ensure someone like me would have to log in every couple of days for the next few weeks even after I had saved the requisite credits. To be fair to the devs, I did. I think I have driven one of them cars a total of once so probably not worth the 25-30m credits or whatever they cost.

Congrats on getting all of the other trophies prior to that though. And for keeping the missus happy.

@JudgeDredd Congratulations mate. I wish my Mrs was so easily pleased haha

@JudgeDredd Good job, it's not all about the size of the trophy but what it's made of that counts eh!! 😉

Th3solution

@JudgeDredd Wife satisfaction notwithstanding, congrats on that GT7 plat. Having recently sank many hours into just completing the last license, I know the level of commitment involved. I looked over the trophy list and saw the two big obstacles of all golds on license and buying the 3 legendary cars and I knew I just couldn’t do it. I also still lack some of the really easy trophies that I just can’t devote mental energy to, like take the certain scapes photos or wash a car 10 times, buy the same car 10 times, buy 10 wheels, etc. I can’t muster the energy to devote a whole afternoon picking up all those random trophies but I felt like I at least needed to finish all licenses.

Weird how my mind works that way and I’m not sure if anyone else thinks like this. If a trophy is really easy, I usually pick it up, but sometimes I ignore a really easy trophy and spend hours and hours just to get a different and harder bronze. In the inexplicable trophy economy I could have still acquired a bronze and a tick-up in my completion percentage by taking an in-game photo (which is about a 5 minute investment) or I can spend dozens of hours getting all licenses or competing on 50 online races.

So I guess what I’m saying, is that I’m not sure why but some trophies tickle my fancy while others do not. Over time I’m less prone to go out of my way for a trophy unless it sounds interesting to me to attempt.

@JudgeDredd congratulations buddy… glad too that the platinum caused @missusdredd some satisfaction, maybe your life will be a little easier around the house for a bit as a result… unlikely but you never know 😉

Congrats to @Splat @Cornaboyzzz @JudgeDredd and the many others I've missed since my last visit to thread. And to @colonelkilgore, I'm guessing you got Ragnarok done a while ago if you're already up to 114.

I finally got the GOW Ragnarok plat myself the other day for the big 100. I don't think I would have been able to do those big 2 boss trophies without easy mode though.
Then went and popped a final trophy to get A Plague Tale Requiem done too. Another great game.
This morning I tried to get the last trophy needed for the RE2 Remake platinum but I don't think that one is going to happen unfortunately. I just need to complete the 4th survivor mode but it's really tough and I just don't have the patience or derive enough pleasure from doing something over and over to try and get through it. It's a shame as I love the game and the plat would nice but I think this will have to join Watchdogs and Goat Simulator as being one short of done.

Congrats @BearsEatBeets, what a game eh? Yeah I booked the week off from work after Ragnarok’s release and managed to get 68 hours in from the Sunday to the Friday. Maybe the best week of solid gaming that I’ve ever had tbh.

@colonelkilgore Yeah it's definitely something special. I had a bit of a gap from gaming in the middle but when I was playing it was hard to put down. I'm pretty sure my final save was around 52 hours, I think I managed to play it pretty efficiently and didn't have to do a lot of backtracking/revisiting areas. Plus I'm guessing my lazy 'notch the difficulty down' for the berserkers and combat arenas saves a lot of time 😁
