Congrats to @Splat @Cornaboyzzz @JudgeDredd and the many others I've missed since my last visit to thread. And to @colonelkilgore, I'm guessing you got Ragnarok done a while ago if you're already up to 114.

I finally got the GOW Ragnarok plat myself the other day for the big 100. I don't think I would have been able to do those big 2 boss trophies without easy mode though.
Then went and popped a final trophy to get A Plague Tale Requiem done too. Another great game.
This morning I tried to get the last trophy needed for the RE2 Remake platinum but I don't think that one is going to happen unfortunately. I just need to complete the 4th survivor mode but it's really tough and I just don't have the patience or derive enough pleasure from doing something over and over to try and get through it. It's a shame as I love the game and the plat would nice but I think this will have to join Watchdogs and Goat Simulator as being one short of done.

Congrats @BearsEatBeets, what a game eh? Yeah I booked the week off from work after Ragnarok’s release and managed to get 68 hours in from the Sunday to the Friday. Maybe the best week of solid gaming that I’ve ever had tbh.

@colonelkilgore Yeah it's definitely something special. I had a bit of a gap from gaming in the middle but when I was playing it was hard to put down. I'm pretty sure my final save was around 52 hours, I think I managed to play it pretty efficiently and didn't have to do a lot of backtracking/revisiting areas. Plus I'm guessing my lazy 'notch the difficulty down' for the berserkers and combat arenas saves a lot of time 😁

Platinum #115 - Lego Lord of the Rings - don’t think that Lego games are for me if I’m honest but it was okay. The one thing that stuck out for me was, for only a 30 hour plat… it felt real grindy.

Platinum #116 - Deep Space Rush - and another shovelware accompaniment

@JudgeDredd great job on GT !
@BearsEatBeets nice plats you got here ! Congrats
@colonelkilgore I remember this LEGO one, not the best but still enjoyable

#343 Crysis Remastered - Yep it was a technical marvel at the time, but without that there's not much left. Crysis games have never been on par with Modern Warfare or Killzone on PS3, but they were okay I guess. This one feels very basic and outdated though, even for a remaster. I wouldn't really recommend.

@RogerRoger it wasn’t all bad tbh bud, just one of those that I was happy to be over by the time I’d got everything done. I liked the sense of humour etc. and I actually enjoyed the first few hours of 100%-ing each area, I just found it got old by the time I’d cleared the map.

I have a few other Lego games in my collection (all the Marvel ones, The Skywalker Saga and the ones they gave out on PS+) so I might return to play one every now and then when I need a change of pace or something.

@BearsEatBeets @colonelkilgore @Cornaboyzzz Nice work on all those platinums, good ones to have in the cabinet.

I have also bagged the GoWR platinum just this morning having finished off a particularly hard optional boss for the final trophy I needed. That goes along with Wreckfest PS4 that I had fun with all over again since getting the big trophy on the PS5 version last year.

Congratulations on your two platinums there @render. Never really considered Wreckfest but I’ll take a look.

@render Another member of GOWR plat club. Well done on getting the Wreckfest plat twice. I got it on PS5 and had a lot of fun with it but not sure I'd do it all again, especially the online wins and reaching the level 50.

@colonelkilgore @BearsEatBeets @RogerRoger Cheers all. I particularly had fun doing the GoWR one as I absolutely love the game. There's just so much stuff to do that I kept getting side tracked initially but would have happily carried on if there were even more side quests or optional bosses.

Colonel, with Wreckfest if you aren't generally into racing games then you might get a bit bored with it. To get the plat the big things are completing all the championships from Juniors through to Masters, there are 5 in all, as well as grinding to lvl 50. There are ways to make it easier though such as putting everything on easy including the AI and using custom events for the lvl 50 requirement. I went half way because I still enjoyed the racing so still used a good level of AI until the end and then just switched it down to destroy everyone in custom races

@render good to know, cheers buddy. I’m not really a racing game guy but I have been considering playing one for a while, so maybe I’ll play this one.

Huge congrats to @RogerRoger on that super-tough plat there. As a very average-skilled gamer myself who has achieved the odd difficult plat or two, you never know what you’re capable of until you set your mind with intent to achieve something, well done!

@RogerRoger wow this looked like hard work, congrats !

#344 Foreclosed - Interesting game, not nearly as bad as the review made it out to be. Nice little indie, with an original style and basic but nice gameplay. Easy and quick.

@RogerRoger Well done, that's an incredible achievement. I'm feeling totally inadequate as a gamer now and don't think any of my platinums can equal the effort you've put in with Sonic 👏

@Cornaboyzzz Congrats on your platinum too even if it's not quite up there with Rog's 😀

MaulTsir

Congrats to all who have achieved recent platinums 👏

Big shout to @colonelkilgore for getting to 100 and then smashing it straight after! Planning on slowing down or hungry for more mate?

And a big congrats to @RogerRoger some dedication to get that one done and 11 years between first and last trophy is some effort, even if you haven't played it for the last 10 years to go back and try to beat a game that in a way beat you will feel damn rewarding!

@RogerRoger Huge congratulations on this one buddy. Very satisfying when you achieve what you thought was impossible.

@MaulTsir thanks bud. I do plan on slowing down some once we reach 2023. For the rest of this year though… I’m so close to 50 platinums for the year that it’d be rude not to try and square that off. So if anything the intensity has increased a little since #100 but then i’ll slip into cruise control by aiming for around 30 plats next year.

@RogerRoger Oh my god , this made my day ! Congratulations man!!! i’m so proud of you ! it’s very much possible to beat eggmanland with an S rank , but like us both , you just have to genuinely love a great game to dedicate your energy to it . During this christmas break if i have time i’m gonna re-attempt this myself because your story inspired me ! but as of now i’m struggling with my own uphill battle with sonic origins ! again , congrats to your gaming accomplishment , you giga-chad, you !

Th3solution

@RogerRoger Adding another congrats for your greatest gaming achievement ever! Wow. That’s awesome! I’m not sure I’ve ever had a gaming experience that moving, so I’m really happy for you. 😄

Th3solution

@RogerRoger I thought we had a “my proudest gaming accomplishment” thread at one time but I can’t seem to find it. Maybe I dreamed it.
Regardless, your story would be a perfect fit if one existed! 😄

@RogerRoger
Well done Rog. Like others I am also very happy for you and your latest accomplishment and how much it meant to you. Times like that can remind us why we are gamers.
