Topic: Planetside 2 Thread

I am personally very psyched for this game to come out to the next generation. I tried to get it on my computer through Steam last year, but my machine was unfortunately too underpowered to play it on even the lowest settings. So now I guess that's more of a reason for me to get excited. Basically, I wanted to make a thread for others who want to enjoy the game to get together and just discuss it, brag about games, form clans, and just talk about the PS4 version in general and stuff like that. Until it comes out we can only speculate, but once it does it'll be great.

It looks interesting I must admit.

I fully expect the same people who became uber serious on MAG and DUST to dominate it though.

Yeah I see what you're saying about the same group dominating it, but I guess that's one of those times when you have to adapt to your environment. I kind of hope it draws in that crowd too so the game has a stable fan base to keep it going.

Don't get me wrong, all games need their fanatics and diehards, online only more so.

Hmmm I just read the info about Planetside 2 on IGN where Smedley said "this year is what we're aiming for and its coming along nicely" -paraphrasing. But that doesn't sound like its coming to PS4 anytime soon. I've been hyped for it since I played it on PC and originally, wasn't it planned as a launch title? Then launch window with a rumor about FEBRUARY? This statement doesn't sound like it's coming out too soon. Hm. Delays delays delays, I have no problem with them when they're for the better of the finished product, but with this and also Watchdogs and also Driveclub they must've known from the beginning that they wouldn'T be able to make launch. I don't like getting hyped for something they already know is gonna be late. Grr.

Yeah I get what your saying, and I hope that incoming fanbase will help the action in that game pick up quickly

They did say it was supposed to be a launch title, and that's what originally had me psyched. I recently read an article that said they currently aim for the first half of this year, so I hope they have it done by at least June, that'd be a great summer game to play. Otherwise, hype usually dies down until new news comes out about a concrete launch date anyway, following any gamers' thought process. I'm still keeping this one on my radar though, this is one of those games that I really can't wait for. And I know what you mean, I hate getting psyched for a delayed game.
