@Fight_Teza_Fight I wouldn't expect Catalyst, it is an EA game and as such would be saved for EA Access, I very much doubt EA will let their games on Plus after Sony stopped them putting Access on the Playstation.

@Dichotomy I think it would be foolish not to put EA games on IGC if the price was right for them because of the EA access aspect. It hasn't affected Sony's relationship with EA - at least not as far as I am aware. They have still partnered up on certain games - like Star Wars Battlefront for example. EA are not reliant on 'consoles' to sell/promote their games and don't appear to be that bothered about securing exclusivity deals. They have their own version of the Playstation experience, hold their own briefing away from E3 and don't appear to 'need' or rely on consoles to fund game development. They obviously have 'early access' through that EA Access which benefits them as its them you pay for that 'privilege'. EA are not offering their games in the upcoming Xbox Pass because its conflicting with their interest and EA access. If its in their interest to partner with Sony for an IGC offering - whether financially from Sony themselves, because they want to sell more DLC or generate interest in a 'sequel' etc. If anything, its more likely that EA won't have a game on IGC due to lack of benefit to them at that time. Unless Sony come up with a decent incentive, its possible we may never see an EA game but I could see them offering some games in the future - like SW:BF if they want to promote 2 or generate sales of DLC, Season Pass etc.

A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...

@BAMozzy The key point there is 'if the price was right', there is little to no chance Sony will offer EA enough money to give away its games. EA will also likely still be looking to push their service onto the Playstation and its position to negotiate would be a lot weaker if they still gave away stuff on plus. Also take note that EA haven't put any games on Steam since they opened their own online shop and, if you've ever read the comments of PC users, they lose a lot of sales because of that as people don't want to have their games scattered across multiple accounts. I find it highly unlikely you'll ever see an EA game on Plus again and that is emphasised by the fact there hasn't been one since EA Access started a few years back (I think the last one was a NFS title).

@themcnoisy To be fair I was more thinking about them allowing PS4 games originally since that is what EA Access would be on. I think there may well have been a Mass Effect game and a Dragon Age one too on the PS3 through Plus in the PS4 era if I give it much thought. It is a fair enough point though and I did make a blanketing statement, perhaps I should reword what I am saying to be something like 'it is highly unlikely that EA will allow any of its products on another service if it would directly be in conflict with its own business goals'. That seems a little too political to me though so I'll just say any games that are on the PS4 by EA are highly unlikely to turn up on Plus.

Now to wait for next month's Plus games for PS4 to be announced as Dragon Age: Inquisition and Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

@Dichotomy
They also gave away garden warfare at E3 didn't they? I know what your saying though, but EA have tried to build bridges with Sony as they were completely in bed with Microsoft for this gens launch until that went pete tong. So in that instance one offs could still happen.

@themcnoisy Just had a look, it was at the PS Experience in 2014, seems that is likely what you got NFS on the vita from too. The cynic in me says it was in hopes of bribing the public to not vote them worst company of the year again (and let's face it, they didn't really deserve that title if we're fair). Maybe they were still hopeful of gaining some favour with Sony to release Access on the platform.
