Topic: I feel very unmotivated :(

Hi, I just wanted to express that yesterday my ps4 died, I don't have money to buy a new one and I feel very unmotivated and depressed

Edit: In the end, I was encouraged to look for someone to fix it for a reasonable price, and I got it!

I was really depressed, I didn't know what to do for several days. But in the end, I don't know why I searched for positive reflections and some like the ones from this Spanish website or this another one (sorry, I'm Spanish and I'm not so good at English) made me see that, if I wanted to continue enjoying my greatest hobby, I had to work hard and think positively to find a solution.

I'm happy again!!

@albmar

That sucks.

Go outside.

Find a park, or some woods or even just take a walk in some unfamiliar scenery. Take a friend with you or just listen to your favourite couple of albums along the way.

Sorry about your luck there. If you don't have the money for a new one perhaps look into getting a used one. If money is an issue I suggest maybe getting some sort of job (not sure how old you are) maybe do yard work for neighbors or something along those lines.

As for being depressed not quite sure what to say to that other then maybe see a doctor about that of it is truly that bad.

With that said this isn't really the place to discuss depression and such as I can assure you no one here is a doctor of that sort and the interest is not the best place to get advice on that.

That sucks.

Thankfully, in a lot of regions, the PS4 is fairly inexpensive. I mean, it's still a couple hundred dollars, but it shouldn't take too long to save up that much.

In the meantime, avail yourself of the other things life has to offer.

If you’re sure it’s dead.
Look at the teardown video.
Disassemble it carefully.
Reassemble making sure the connections are solidly in place.
It may not fix the problem but there’s nothing more relaxing taking things apart and putting them back together again.
Sometimes it is just a loose connection and the console starts working again after it’s been re-assembled. Even if it doesn’t if it’s broken you’ve got nothing to lose.
