Awesome. Who are your mains in Guilty Gear -Strive-?

@Voltan cheers for the ping, @WaterKirby1964 I'm an Axl man. Japanese voice obviously, because the English one is horrendous. Was on floor 8 most of yesterday but got knocked down to 7 as I came across a god like player, who didn't even give me a chance!

@WaterKirby1964 it's all I've been playing the past few weeks. Even listen to the soundtrack when not gaming! 😀

@Voltan That's a tough one. Maybe Love the subhuman self but it's still up for debate as they are all great!

@Voltan In Guilty Gear -Strive-, I main Chipp and my rank is 5F. Though nowadays, I tend to stay away from ranked in general for fighting games. I also like to play and learn Baiken and hoping for Jam to come back for Season 2.

@WaterKirby1964 I look at the tower as more of a matchmaking system to find people of similar skill level than an actual ranked system - especially on the lower levels. The game's usually the most fun if the playing field is more or less level.

But of course if you're having fun in the parks or, even better, have someone to play with, that's great.

I do the majority of my gaming on the celestial floor and I'm considering trying to enter some competitions when crossplay is enabled (as pretty much all of them are on PC currently) - although I still feel like most other VIP players are better than me

@WaterKirby1964 Oh nice, Hopefully we will get a look at what's in store with season 2.

@MightyDemon82 Unfortunately I think it's going to ge in Japanese only so it might be a good idea to find someone restreaming it with a live translation on Twitch (my guess is that this channel will).
I'll be at work but maybe I can sneak a look somehow.

So I'm actually watching the stream with Jiyuna's live translation.
So far this was announced:

• new patch including balance changes, changes to game mechanics and some tweaks to game's controls (including a Faultless Defense button) comes June 10
• crossplay beta is this summer (no exact date)
• there will be a new physical release for PS4 and PS5 including all Season 1 content and new cover art
• tons of collectibles including figurines, a Sol action figure and Guilty Bear, which was originally an April's Fools joke (for now it's going to be pins and keychains but they'll make stuffed animals too at a later date)

They also said they'd show bits of the changes in the upcoming patch on their Twitter prior to June 10
I guess we might get some more announcements at Combo Breaker this weekend, they like doing them at major tournaments

Sigh The stream overall was average and lackluster. Other than the June 10 patch and cross-play beta test this Summer, which is great, but I am disappointed that we did not get info on GGST Season 2. Oh well. What can you do? It is what it is. Welp, this sucks. My expectations were high, clowned myself and ended up in disappointment. That GGST Almost 1-Year Anniversary stream, what a waste of my time. Anyway. I hope we get GGST Season 2 info by EVO or after EVO

For Season 2 of Guilty Gear -Strive-, which 4 characters you are hoping for?

I also think Sin is pretty much guaranteed at this point.

@WaterKirby1964 @Voltan Strive is my first GG game so I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the characters. Always fun to try them all out, I'll buy it for sure to show support to ASW for creating a fantastic game!
