Topic: Downloads packaged with retail game?

I noticed a lot of people on forums have been wondering about the mandatory install situation on PS4 and 720. I had an idea and thought I would run it past you guys, what if all brand new games for next gen consoles also came with download codes for a digital version? It would mean you could install the game fully and therefore never have to worry about scratched discs, but used games wouldn't come with the code so it wouldn't be like you could just give it to a mate. Even if you tried to download it and give the disc to a friend to share the game, I'm sure they could stop that via having the disc tied to the digital copy somehow.
It seems like having all your games on your Hard Drive ready to go without needing to change discs is the future, and we all know the PS4 is going to have a pretty huge hard drive. This would help combat used sales as well, to a degree.
I haven't really thought about it in detail so I'm sure there's some flaws in my logic but it seems to make sense to me.

Sorry to double post but another point - next gen games will be larger meaning if this wasn't the case they would still probably require a hefty install in order to avoid huge load times....this would help that situation as well I believe?

Crippling the used game market on purpose is a terrible move, hence the massive efforts by Sony to make sure everyone knows that they won't block preowned disc games. Digital downloads are great, but sometimes you just can't beat picking up a used game, a few months after release for a quarter of the original price when the download version probably hasn't come down in price at all.

There are simply some games people won't want to pay full whack for.

For me, network passes are the future, the publisher still majkes a bit of money and the used market rolls along.

Well kinda sounds nice.
I get the always cool cover artwork and able to buy it in my favorites retailer and still able to play it without changing discs but still people won't accept this because they won't be able to sell it or lend it to their friends and in the end everyone will start complaining just like next Xbox Always on feature until its removed.

Does anyone else think that the free to play titles coming to PS4 at launch should be pre installed on all consoles? Really think it would help those said titles take off! Just a thought I had
