Topic: Current Best HDD Upgrade?

Good evening,

As of now, what is the best PS4 HDD upgrade options? There seems to be a myriad of confusing and contrasting information out there i.e. 7200rpm is more power hungry, hotter and noisier than 5600 rpm, except for when it isn't because of manufacturer to manufacturer, and if it is, it's neglible and doesn't matter anyway, except for when it does because your PS4 will cook / get loud.

Is there a cracking 1TB / 1.5TB / 2TB drive that stands out? I don't have to have a 2TB drive, and I'd rather go for quality with low heat and noise over cheap/pure size.

Any current tips and deals would be much appreciated.

I've had this one installed for about a year now. I paid a bit more for it mind. I've had no issues and no additional noise.

I went with the one form the IGN article I forget which one it was but it is a hybrid drive so should speed up some processes you do regularly on the PS4. Its worked fine. I stuck with the 5600 I was not sure of the effect of increasing to a 7200. I am not sure what others think about increasing to a 7200. 1tb was fine for me as I delete games once I no longer own them and do not download much. Saying that games now seem to come with massive patches so space gets filled up quick. If I was changing my hard drive now would go for a 2tb.
