Topic: Silent Hill HD Collection

Anyone else pick this up?

I'm playing SH 3 for the first time and its un-nerving and scary. The graphics look great but it has some slowdown which surprised me since I thought the PS3 could handle a PS2 port.

Silent Hill 2 looks great and has the additional Maria Born from a Wish scenario and the bonus endings.

Don't worry, your PS3's just scared.

You might be right. Maybe the PS3 can't handle horror.

Edit: a update was released today to address the slowdown I think.

Yeah i got it the day it came out. Finished sh2 now playing sh3, loving it so far although the slowdown is annoying

Just got an email that the update will be ready tomorrow. Thank goodness they are addressing the fog issue.

This Konami's own fault.

They gave incomplete and unused source code to the dev's who then had to spend a huge amount of time wading through it to find the actual release game. Which they probably didn't.

They should've taken a leaf out of MGS HD teams' book and decompile retail discs instead of requesting the source files.

Well I think they did a good job with the patch so far. I'm glad the fog is back

So is this collection worth it now? At release everyone seemed to hate this version. Im EU if thats any difference.

I'm cool with it now I don't hate it anymore. Most of the bugs are squashed the frame rate is better (but not perfect) and the fog and missing sound effects are back. I'd pick it up

I replayed Silent Hill 2 and part of SH 3 after the patch and it was like night and day from before. Its just a shame it was not released this way. I will say that getting the trophies really adds more replay value for these 2 games.

Too bad the Room wasnt included, guess I'll check that out on PC instead.
