Topic: New to Playstation what games do you recommend?

Uncharted Series (and in my opinion Uncharted 2 is the best of the 3)
Metal Gear Solid 4
God of War Series (all of them are on PS3 now)
inFAMOUS 1 and 2
The Last of Us
Final Fantasy XIII Series (the games looks better and runs better than the 360 version plus they are only on one disc)

apart from FFXIII i'm not going to put any multiplats on this list (although FFXIII was still a PS3 exclusive in Japan so i guess it can count) as i would assume you would want to know what good exclusives the PlayStation has

Welcome to Playstation! and Push Square - It's nice here, a friendly community.
I am relatively new to this generation of Playstation aswell. In fact it has delayed me from getting a PS4 from first day release (UK) to now settling for after Christmas, Whilst I enjoy a PS3 feast of the platforms wonderful delights. YUMMY!!!

So far, based on what I have played... I can recommend the following;
• inFamous (stick with one, its the foundation of a great story, which naturally will leave you hungry for number 2)
• Uncharted (again, start with number 1. It may look dated, but the story is what makes the uncharted serious! Would you read the second part of LoTR without reading the first part!)
• Killzone 2 (An FPS of such quality that is about 4-ish years old really surprised me. Highly recommend)
• MGS4 - (Best franchise ever made. This is the finale! if you have not played 1,2,3... Play the HD remakes.)
• God of War - (BEEF!)
• Heavy Rain - (This game is one of the reasons I bought a PS.

@Splat - I completed Uncharted 1 last week - I thought it would be difficult... It wasn't, I sat and completed in under a week! I was hooked. Looking forward to 2 and 3 now.
