Topic: Most Wanted HD Remakes

Ratchet & Clank Collection!

Anyone else looking forward to Beyond Good & Evil HD as much as I am? I missed it the first time around and want to atone for my sins.

I also seem to have forgotten a series that's in desperate need of an HD reboot: Timesplitters. In a generation of military/alien shooters, Timesplitters HD is just the thing we need to revitalize the genre. Although admittedly, Bulletstorm will do for now.

Beyond Good and Evil as well as Oddworld Strangers Wrath are highly anticipated and instant buys from me.

We do need a Dragon Quest Trilogy.

I can go buy the ps3 tombraider game for $4.99 what is my motivation towards spending $40 for 2 very poorly received ps2 games and a poorly recieved ps3 game.

"Trilogy"? There was only one DQ on the PS2 last I checked...

All three of these games are very well received by critics. I actually enjoyed all of them, especially Legends/Anniversary, as they were the first games to fix the tank controls (even though I still consider TR2 to be the ultimate and one of my favorite games), the HD upgrade in graphics and trophy support all make this a $40 investment Ill be more than happy to pay for.

I think there was 2 on the PS1 though.

my poorly received comment was based upon something I saw on gametrailers as I admit I haven't played these yet. I'll go buy that $5 tombraider today though if you guys say its good.

I think the video I saw was refering to Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness which has a gamerankings score of 54%

@lipnox... You are correct, Angel of Darkness was poorly recieved and was indded not a good game. From Tomb Raider 3 PsOne to Angel of Darkness the games went downhill, even for Tomb Raider fans such as myself.

Tomb Raider Legends had the entire game engine revamped and the game was rebuilt and put a fresh new control scheme and graphics into the game and was a completely new Tomb Raider game that breathed new life into the series, and it was incredible. Anniversary used that same game engine and rebuilt the original Tomb Raider game and it's fantastic for fans of the original game, and those new to the series.

I highly recommend giving these a shot, especially for fans of Uncharted. Underworld has it's problems, but it's a great addition to the Tomb Raider franchise as well.

Where is the Final Fantasy collection?!?! FFXII in HD would just be drooooooooool.

Only if you count remakes. There was only 1 on the PSOne and an HD version would easily take up a Blu-Ray Disc on it's one. It's a massive game.

How about the silent hill games, I've missed all of them up to now, and I really enjoyed shattered memories. 1-4 should fit on a blue-ray right?

Stop what your doing, go to the PS Store and buy silent hill 1 for ps1 its the best horror game ive ever played, even on ps3.

and incase anyone wondered I bought Tomb Raider Underworld for $4.99 perhaps ill post a fan made mini review after I beat it and before the HD collection comes out.

Especially considering its 2D.

It's 3D with 2D Sprites. Covered 2 Discs, but that's with very low resolution. Perhaps I was exaggerating, but I'm still not convinced they could do a collection. A remake perhaps, but I doubt they'd do much more than that. Personally, I'd prefer it if it just came to PSN as is.

Got and played it, not scary at all, great sound design but I guess I'm too adjusted to newer graphics and gameplay to get any feel for the game. Was getting some weird auto bug where when I shot the pistol at times I'd get a loud screeching noise over all the audio.

if silent hill isnt scary to you then no video game ever will be. its always rated as scariest game on top 10 lists. the graphics and control are what makes it scary.

Dead space extraction got me a couple of times at the double take moments, but that's the only times.
