There are so many racing games on the PS3, I expect everyone has different favourites. My own favourite is Midnight Club Los Angeles. I really like the way you can dip in and out with ease, the interface is super smooth, also the modification system is simple and most importantly the racing is really good.
Sorry guys. Grand Tourismo 5 with a GT Force Feedback Wheel - love the realism and the verstility.
I played with the dualshock for ages and enjoyed, but once I got the wheel everything changed. Achieved a whole other level in the game (never really tried the Endurance series). It's loads better for dirt and snow because without the wheel you cannot tell when you are sliding and losing grip. Playing driving games without the wheel now is just dissatisfying. In fact I got so inspired I built my own gaming table to attach the wheel and pedals to (cheaper than buying a frame). It also doubles well for my flight stick.
Have also had friends, siblings, uncles, aunts, parents etc drive with the wheel. Immense fun and anyone who can drive can have a go. Often bring it out at BBQs/parties.
NFS-HP is fun but kinda cute. I prefer playing the police and getting to take out the car. I didn't particularly like Motostorm Apocolypse. I haven't tried the others in the series. Pacific Rift is supposed to be better. I do quite like Dirt 3. That game is fun! I haven't played Midnight Club Los Angeles
Clearly I lean towards the driving sims rather than the archade games. Just my personal bent.
