Now just before I list the final 2 games in this countdown I want to say a massive thank you for joining in. At times I wanted to close the thread and give up, like I did to being a COD player at the advent Modern Warfare 3. But you lot kept me going, your dedication has meant a ton and I have enjoyed finding out what everyone likes and the reasons to play other games. This has easily been the best thread (or 4) we have had in the forums since I joined way back In February 2015 and to see people contributing now like they did way back then (Adam, Jaz, Fatman, Rudy, octane) in the initial polls (you can see the result in the footer to this comment) to having proper mates in the forums some of you I have spoken to and know (Rog, Kal, kyle) people whose comments I have always read (Sol, Mooky, Rali, zed, grem, Leuc) and to people I haven't had the pleasure to talk to until now as I was awol for the latter part of 2018 or may have recently joined (Frigate, FGS). Its been one hell of a thread. Thank you everyone for joining in and anyone who was here at the start, middle or end I salute you.

@RogerRoger I have no idea. Probably the stat was more of a joke in relation to vetogate. That will forever be my memory of the early game before we got into a groove.

I haven’t been this relieved and yet sad at the end of a huge project in a long while. ....well, at least not since finishing Red Dead Redemption 2.... 😜

@Ralizah you are not wrong. Thanks for helping out Ralizah. Your work within the team at the start was amazing and if you didn't set up the spreadsheet I reckon we would still have hundreds of games still to rank. Thank you mate.

I initially wanted to rate ever PS1 - PS4 games and rank them in order. There's just no way! Thanks for your help and Dragons Dogma got boosted a touch in the final list

@themcnoisy - well done, mate, stellar effort. is it really over? finally a poll with the right winner!

i've played all of the top 10 (though i didn't much like RDR, or Fallout 3, personally), and 17 of the top 20, 32 of the top 50, and 51 of the top 100.

i also played 4 of the bottom 10! you're welcome.

actually, this whole endeavour has highlighted for me, how much gaming has gone backwards in many regards this gen. looking through the top 50, there are a lot of different genres and different IPs represented. i've played only 53 games in total on PS4, less than 1/3 the number i played on PS3 - so if you decide to do this for PS4 in 2024, my contribution should take about 10 minutes.

BTW: nearly 107,000 hits - what's our cut of the advertising revenue?

Ha ha well done @themcnoisy I dropped out fairly early on then briefly returned to try and steal some glory at the end. Full props to everyone who gave so much time and inputs. Looking at the list, this is a pretty balanced and well thoughtout set of games.

Of course, the next poll should be agreeing what the best Push Square poll has been...

Wow I completely missed that last part of voting but I don't think I would have changed anything. This list is absolutely rock solid. Very happy with Portal 2's placing.

@themcnoisy Well done for organising and indeed doing this. It's a great list. It's a testament to how good a machine the PS3 was (as well as being a testament to our immaculate gaming tastes)
