Since my PS4Pro console for a long time has no place for all my games, I have decided to buy an external HDD or replace the main HDD in the console, although my first variant is much easier and my console is still in the warranty...
My question is: which external HDD USB 3.0 or 3.1 have proved to be the fastest and best in operation with the PS4Pro console and what is important to look at when purchasing a HDD of hundreds HDD's or perhaps is better to replace main HDD with the HDD a higher capacity (for example 4 Tb). My choice as far as the external HDD's for my console came to:
1. WD MyBook 4Tb;
2. Some of the newest models of external HDD's like 4TB Maxtor M3 Portable 2.5 '', USB 3.0 or WD MyPassport 3 - 4 Tb or
3. Buy a larger external HDD like example WD My Book new edition
Interface
USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0 compatible)
Additional Details

  • Massive capacity storage with auto and system backup
  • RAID-0 ready out of the box
  • RAID optimized WD Redâ„¢ drives
  • 2x USB 3.0 Type-A hub ports
  • 256-bit AES hardware encryption and password protection
  • 3-year limited warranty, because we all know that PS5 is coming soon and it will not have more than 2Tb of space?
    Thanks in advance for all the suggestions, the disks are many, and I'm most interested in the difference between USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 and L1 and L2 cache of the disc itself for the fastest work with PS4 console and for backup (if it necessary) ?
