Topic: Telling me to purchase subscription game already in my library

Hi,

I had Marvel's Avengers downloaded and running, just a few days back I deleted the game to make space and try another game. I redownloaded Avengers and when I try to launch the game, its telling me to purchase the game at this discounted price.

I was under the impression that subscription games are forever as long as you have the subscription active, while this game was already included in my library. Please advise.

ps: I have premium subscription.

@sammy011 You’re confusing the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription games with the monthly games that are offered to all PlayStation Plus subscribers. Marvel’s Avengers was removed this month, meaning that you’ll have to buy the game to play it.

@sammy011 PS+ Essential and Games with Gold are Subscription services where you 'keep' access as long as you 'keep' Subscribed AND added the games WHEN they were available to claim. Other Subscription services - Like Game Pass, PS+ Extra/Premium tiers - are ONLY available to play whilst they remain in that Subscriptions service Library AND you remain a Subscriber...

Subscription Services like PS+ Extra/Premium & Game Pass are like traditional book Library. You can only borrow books/Games they have in their Library and at some point, you lose access to titles as they are rotated out for different titles. The only way to gain access to those then is to buy yourself.

Subscription Services give you access to a Library of games that are 'accessible' to Subscribers as long as they remain in that Library. As soon as games leave that Library, you 'lose' access - its no longer available to 'borrow'. Remaining Subscribed just means you remain able to access and borrow any of the Hundreds of games that are currently available in that Library, but as soon as they 'leave', you lose access unless you 'buy' your own copy. Game Pass is the same too - so all those comments about games costing $50+ on 'Playstation' but 'Free on Xbox' are misleading - its $50 on Both Platforms to own, but Game Pass Subscribers can 'borrow' the game until it 'leaves' Game Pass.

A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
