Topic: Ps5 turning off

My sons ps5 keeps turning off after half an hour or so gaming time, if he leaves it for a while he can get the same again. I have clipped both sides off and cleaned it best I can but it is still happening, anybody have any ideas why this could be happening.

@Glen Sounds like a faulty console to be honest. Is it new or have you had it for a while?

My first PS5 kept turning itself off and then went completely kaput, all within 48hrs of having it.

@Glen Do you know if he installed the latest beta firmware? It could be a total coincidence but mine started doing the same not long after I installed it and even reverting it to the stable firmware didn't fix the issue. It was also around the time when the weather in the UK got really hot but I followed all the same steps that you did and nothing seemed to help. It would only really shutdown on PS5 games but it's like the power had been removed and the console was totally unresponsive and to get it to power back on again I would have to unplug and replug it in again.
