So today I decide to fire up some MLB: The Show 17. Now I haven't played this game since November but when I did it was fine. Now today I noticed that the sound was different. For one thing there were no announcers and the only sound I got was the ambient sounds such as the crowd, music in the arena etc. I no longer got the announcers like when they would talk about the players before they batted and such. I didn't get the announcers any time I played the Show either such as during the end game report. Also the odd thing is I didn't get the chatter and such through my speaker in my controller either.

I check the in game options everything was up to the levels I like, not muted or turned off. Every other game the sounds are fine. CoD: WWII, Assassin's Creed Origins, Bloodstained Curse of the Moon, all sounded fine. When I played Skyrim on the Switch it worked fine and when I watch Netflix and Hulu the sound is fine, which led me to figure it's MLB: The Show.

So I checked for updates and it was the current version of the game and again checked all my options I even restarted my PS4 and the game. So before I go bonkers here I have to ask is this a ploy so that I am forced to buy MLB: The Show 18? I never owned a Show game before last year so like is there a deal that when a new Show comes out they have to remove the announcers and such? If it is thats a bad way to do business and quite honestly it's ruining the game for me.

Anyone else having this problem? It's just buggie me that they would do this.
