Gamescom Opening Night Live

Gamescom 2020 isn't taking place physically this year, but we at least have a big digital event to look forward to. Heading up the schedule for the convention's plans is Opening Night Live, a live broadcast produced by the man himself, Geoff Keighley. Responsible for lots of E3 content in the past as well as the Game Awards and this year's Summer Game Fest, he's one busy guy.

Keighley has taken to Twitter to confirm the date for Opening Night Live. Previously thought to be taking place on 24th August, the show will now go live three days later on the 27th.

Hopefully the broadcast will feature lots of upcoming games, presumably for next-gen platforms like PlayStation 5. Keighley certainly has the connections to concoct a killer show, so it should be a good one. Opening Night Live is just one gaming event taking place over the next few months -- check out our guide for a full list of all the live gaming events and conferences you need to watch.
