If you've been hankering for some high resolution post-apocalyptic adventuring then you're in luck, as Fallout 4's latest update is out now on PlayStation 4. Only weighing in at 461MB, patch 1.14 brings PS4 Pro support to Bethesda's popular role-playing release. Pro users can expect things like increased resolution, better draw distance, less pop-in, enhanced lighting, and shorter load times. The update also adds some smaller details to mod functionality, but nothing really worth shouting about.
Will you be enjoying Fallout 4 on your supercharged machine? Try not to stutter in the comments section below.

YES!! I've held off on playing this for a while, glad to know it's finally here.
Any options for pro support with 1080p screens?
Waiting for the ability to turn off head-bob, so I can play for more than 15 minutes without getting queasy.
@DiddyWahDiddy Thank you! Finally someone else that understands my plight with FPS games....
I can play almost any other genre of game for hours on end, but if it's an FPS / FPS camera, then I'm usually getting motion sick. Exceptions to this are slower paced FPS that run in 60fps. That seems to help, as RE7 isn't giving me any trouble, but DOOM I have to take a Dramamine.
@Dm9982 Most likely due to both games using a narrow field of view to reach required frame rates.A technique commonly used on console FPS games as a wider FOV requires more processing power.
Fallout 4 is one of the few games that gave me bad headaches whilst playing due to the low FOV and poor frame rate.
@DiddyWahDiddy Agreed along with an FOV slider.
It's even gotten to the point where just looking at stills of the game gives me a headache by association.
Enhanced Lightning?
More forks? Didn't even notice the storms... LOL
@Shadowsoul83 Even better graphics since the 4k is going to downscale to 1080p screens. So we get all that plus the faster loading times, increased distance view and enhanced lighting.
It any good?
I'll boot it up tonight and test. Had FO4 and season pass since release, but only minorly got past getting back to Sanctuary after power armor. Been waiting for an FPS increase, plus it's not holding my attention as well as FO3 did. Or NV for that matter. Lol
It does look sharper and the new god rays are far better, other than that the framerate holds up better especially in built up settlements and fast travelling seems to be pretty quick. Still no fog in Far Harbour though which is a shame.
It's not a significant enough upgrade to tempt me to play it again but for those first timers at least they'll get to play it in a much better state than most of us did
Gee, "just" 461 mb ?
Kinda wish I still had Fallout 4 installed so I could try it out with the Pro support. Damn my slower than optimal internet speeds thus causing rapidly growing backlog patch sizes to take forever to download.
Ah well. Hopefully it improves some persisting problems for everyone.
@Dm9982 I really, REALLY don't want to sound preachy, but if those games really are becoming a problem for you, you might want to switch to PC gaming. Motion sickness while playing first person shooters are usually due to low FOV and frame rate and PC fixes both of those things. Just an FYI.
OT, I'm glad Bethesda put out Fallout 4 PS4 Pro support, but I'm a little worried that the higher resolution means it won't run as well as if it ran at 1080p on the Pro. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I'll wait in the hope they bring their planned Vive version to PSVR!
Meh, I moved on from Fallout 4 ages ago.
Looks really good,it wold be nice to have 4k but 1440p looks really good and fps are pretty solid..
@Goob Yeah, I use to game on PC. Back when Oblivion first launched, I built my last custom rig just to run that game at max settings. Had an ATI Radeon 1980XT card on ASUS' first Crossfire mobo, with an Intel quad core 3.2ghz processor.
Sadly a thunderstorm fried the rig and I haven't been able to afford rebuilding one. But I have debated it numerous times. Maybe if I ever catch up on my console backlog... over 100, I'm a hardcore addict, 😆, and I own Wii U, PS4, XB1, 3DS, and Vita, plus I still have all my original Nintendo systems from when they released... only the NES is currently busted. That's my summer goal, replace the capacitors and 72 pin connector.
