Ed McMillen, the developer of the popular dungeon crawler The Binding of Isaac, has today taken to the game's blog to announce his future plans for its DLC, called Afterbirth+. He has confirmed that it will be launching in Spring 2017 on the PlayStation 4 with a whole load of exciting new features.
The list of additional content is quite impressive: new bosses, new rooms, a new chapter, a new character, a new ending, a harder greed mode, new transformations, new challenges, new achievements, and the list goes on. You can check out the full list of goodies through here.
Are you itching to return to the depths of Isaac's basement? Or can't you stand the dark and gruesome themes explored within? As always let us know in the comments below.

I loved the first one, I even got the platinum, but it was on Vita. When I tried to play the Afterbirth at PS4, for me it lost a lot of its charm, I just can't play it on a big screen. So I don't think I will buy this DLC too
Haven't played Rebrith since a month after it was released. I should really get back into it.
@Deadlyblack Afterbirth is a great way to get back into the game, greed mode is a blast
Hi!
I bought afterbirth but didn't really like it as much as the original base game. However, I adored the base game so I obviously still rate it despite not unlocking any trophies for afterbirth at all. I also managed to kill mega Satan on the first attempt and I fully expect a gold trophy to be added in post completion as that really does deserve one. Some if not most of the unlocks and trophies are ridiculously eeeevilllll and hard!
So seeing as it's reduced in price for owners of afterbirth I'll still buy it. It was a plus freebie and I think it deserves support.
Looking forward to it! Shame about the vita version getting canned. They have said on a few occasions that they don't really have a full understanding of their engine, so porting it to consoles has been difficult.
