Good news PlayStation 3 owners: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 has been delayed. The skateboarding simulation β which, to be fair, wasn't entirely despised in our review β is spending a little more time in the skate shop on last-gen formats, while Activision properly applies some band aids to the PlayStation 4 version.
The game was due to come out on Sony's previous platform next month, but has now been delayed indefinitely. "We will update the community when we have more specific information about a release date for the PS3," a spokesperson told Eurogamer.net. If we were the publisher, we'd probably just cut our losses.

It's so bad it's actually kind of entertaining. The video review Polygon posted is still funny.
I wonder what the costs of the axtra work and actual publishing of the game are versus the amount that is expected to be recouped from the sales revenue?
I'm not even taking into account the ongoing work that is still taking place on the current gen titles...
I wish they would just make THUG3 instead of aiming for outdated Pro Skater mechanics with no Story Mode. Regardless I'm still waiting to receive my copy from GameFly.
As far as I know the TH licensing agreement ends this year, so it's probably safe to say this version won't see the light of day. If the sales were any good I'm positive this version would be done next month, but Activision has simply got more to lose than to gain from releasing this game.
@RawShark you are assuming they're bothering to put in extra work....
To be fair, this isn't the first cross-generation title to have its last-gen versions mysteriously disappear this year - Mortal Kombat X was pushed back multiple times prior to its quiet cancellation; and I expect this to take the same route - either because it's just not feasible to port, period; or because it's not cost-effective to do so. Most likely the latter.
"News: Activision Should Cancel the PS3 Version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5"
I think that's an opinion, but I do agree with it.
