MotorStorm: Apocalypse Is Still Awesome, And Is Only Getting Better.

In its latest update, Evolution's touting Sony's favourite buzz-phrase: play, create, share. From Friday, MotorStorm: Apocalypse will allow you to create your own game modes and experience them with other players. As MotorStorm's community manager explains on the PlayStation Blog, the possibilities are vast:

"Tweak the standard race mode so that vehicle attacks are disabled, or set-up a 5 round Eliminator mode, on mirrored tracks, for 15 Monster Trucks and 1 Buggy, with moon gravity, infinite boost and no brakes…or do something completely unexpected – we can’t wait to see what you come up with!"

The updated MotorStorm: Apocalypse will also allow you to design and share customised vehicles online, though the implementation doesn't sound quite as fluid as LittleBigPlanet or ModNation Racers. Still, the feature is appreciated.

Evolution's not finished yet though. MotorStorm: Apocalypse now includes full support for the PlayStation Move motion controller, as well as a variety of new steering wheels. New wheels include: Logitech G25, Logitech G27, Logitech Driving Force GT and Logitech Driving Force Pro.

In addition to the big features, Evolution's also tweaked some little things: clan tags can now be seen online, the gambling system's been improved so as not to reward disconnecting players, and lobbies can now be set to private. Even the MotorStorm community website has been updated to include stats and player information.

Phew. That's one hell of an update. For more details visit the PlayStation Blog. If you've yet to purchase MotorStorm: Apocalypse, perhaps you should read our review.
