PushSquare.com Caters "To The Point" Content To A Wide Audience Of Playstation Gamers

PushSquare.com is one Europe’s leading Playstation-only blogs, detailing news, reviews and opinion on products within the Playstation brand.

The site aims to maintain a colloquial, to-the-point philosophy with each of its articles – with a writing style similar to that of popular British 80’s music magazine: Smash Hits.

Currently the website serves to a demographic of 13-30 year old males who have a strong interest in Playstation products and the video games industry as a whole.

50% of visitors come from the United Kingdom with another 30% coming from the USA.

If you’d like to advertise on our site then you can find more information here. The site is updated daily and consistently strives to provide visitors with interesting and relevent content.

Reviews Policy

We firmly believe at PushSquare.com that too many online publications are focusing on the scores for their reviews and underlining that with meaningless, self-indulgent writing. While we adhere to a strict level of quality here at PushSquare, we are not about pretentious wordy articles and more about giving you the information you need. Mainly what’s good and what’s bad. Our scoring system is simple and easy to understand, meaning you won’t get bogged down with decimal places and percentages of quality.

Each of our reviews is structured in the following format:

  • Outline and conclusion
  • Score out of 4
  • What we liked
  • What we didn’t like

What do our scores mean?

Review 1 Square - Poor

1 Square – generally a game that scores just 1 square will have a number of gameplay breaking flaws. Any game that scores this should probably be avoided or at the very least handled with extreme caution.

Review 2 Squares - Average

2 Squares – generally a game that scores 2 squares will do a number of things right and a number of things wrong. There may be flaws in the game as a package but on the whole the game should be able to hold the interest of those who are fans of the genre or franchise.

Review 3 Squares - Good

3 Squares – generally a game that scores 3 squares is a fun, solid release. There may be minor flaws but these are outweighed by the overall gaming experience.

Review 4 Squares - Amazing

4 Squares – not delivered lightly, essentially a game that receives four stars must represent excellent value for money, quality and playability.

Our scores do not equate to a 10-point scale; thus 2 Squares do not represent 5/10, nor do 4 squares represent 10/10.

PushSquare Review Golden Oldies

PushSquare Review Golden Oldies is our new banner heading for catching up with any Playstation titles that may have released before PushSquare’s launch. Games will be reviewed sensitively based on their launch-date but design-flaws that may irritate the more modern gamer will be picked up on. As such games reviewed under this banner will be reviewed with a mixture of release date criticism and “modern-day” gamer understanding. We value the game based on the price of the title on the Playstation Store or second-hand availability.

Our review scale correlates to our conventional scoring system as above.
