So while we're not totally stoked about director David O. Russell's vision for the video game adaptation, we can at least appreciate his taste in female actresses.
According to Russel, the movie script is being written right now, and he's pretty stoked about it:
The game is very cinematic; theres no question about it, he said. Thats why Im working on it real hard and Im writing it as we speak and Im really excited to make it.
Id love Mark [Wahlberg] to be in it, Id love Bob De Niro to be in it; I love the idea of growing them into a cinematic family; I think thats a really cool idea, but I guess youll have to wait until you see the script.
So the Uncharted movie might not be a cinematic version of the Antiques Roadshow like previously reported then? Well, that's something. So what about Elena?
Ah, Elena. Ive cultivated her quite a bit and I think Ive added a lot of dimension to her so thats all Im going to say, said Russell. I love the woman characters and the more robust they are, the more robust the movie.
I love Amy [Adams]. I also love Scarlett Johansson; theres a lot of great actors I think might suit. Hopefully, well see how it works out with everybody who are being scoped to do that role.
