@Bliquid I can't disagree with anything you've said (except buying a PS3, I'll come on to that part later), but the problem of slow broadband still remains. Too many folk still have <2mbps connections which simply won't cope with Gaikai whenever it's ready. For some, a ported game will always be a preferred option for this reason.
As for the PS3, I have been very tempted just to play TLOU, but after spending in the region of £650 for the PS4, 4 games and the PX4 headset, I can't justify another £100-130 for the PS3 & game. I'm sure there are LOTS of former X360 players like myself making the switch to PS4, and many will have forked out similar amounts to do so - buying another console just isn't on the cards for a lot of folk.
I've switched from Xbox360 to PS4, so I'd love to see this game ported. I also wish people would stop banging on about Gaikai as if it's a magic bullet - I live in a large city centre and despite being connected to a fibre exchange, the street cabinets are all copper and my Internet runs at 1.4mbps and 0.2mbps upload - Gaikai is NO use with speeds like this, which are sadly a reality for hundreds of thousands of properties across the UK.
