I have no clue what the fuss is about, I beat it on my second try (first try I got cocky with those damn Sirens). Just ring them out with the Hands of Hades magic attack. Oh, and Gorgons can't do a lot against aerial combos. Just dodge when your feet hit the ground. For everything after that, if you can't toss it out of the arena, then just use hit-n-run and spam weapon specials.
