I like this. I think it's great that their focusing on making an awesome single player experience instead of putting time into a half made multiplayer just for the cash.
Yes! There should be many more previous games playable on the PS4! Mainly because it will be quite some time before a nice collection of games will be made for PS4. Also everyone plays games from previous gen consoles and I don't know why consoles are not made more backwards compatible! It would make sense considering the amount of people that have asked for it.
