No one is gonna fall for this old boogeyman tale about bots! Even if they’re fake, explain how they got so much engagement, likes, & reposts? Propaganda like this will not get the people back on Sony’s side! It will do the opposite and create more people who are against them! This is a pathetic attempt to cope with reality!
@Gremio108 Not only that, but organizing it and focusing on Sony is just as hypocritical and lazy as Sony themselves! Every one of these companies have almost the same TOS for digital & physical that says you don’t own it plus they all plan a digital only future! Steam won’t be your savior either! If they were serious and people had the integrity and self control, they’d organize a month long across the board blackout for every system, but given just this half a-$ attempt to blackout Sony will fail, that’s never going to happen.
If this were a serious move and enough people were going to participate, I’d tough it out, but the fact is gaming is one of the ways I deal with PTSD & the struggles of being a recovering addict! Besides, deep down everyone knows it’ll fail and when it’s all said and done we’re all going to playing the systems we like even if it’s digital only because they all have this plan! Go read the TOS for digital and physical media on Steam, Nintendo, Xbox, & whoever else is out there and they all have basically the same legal language so to have any real impact, a blackout on gaming across the board is required and even those on their soapboxes who mistakenly think this will work would not do that or it would be the plan instead of focusing on just Sony! It’s ridiculous as far as protests go! If you’re gonna do it, do it right! A Sony only 1 week blackout is a lazy way to approach it anyway!
