@GamingFan4Lyf awsome, might do the same as you, I think they iron out any kinks with the slim model anyway. Apart from playing my big 4 (uncharted 4, Days Gone, red dead 2 and TLOU2) there’s not much reason to get a ps5 for a while. Did you hear that bend are working on a new game??? I think the lighting artist or something hinted at Days Gone 2!!
@GamingFan4Lyf totally understandable, whilst the liquid metal has worked very well for me and may even extend the life of the ps pro, it’s not for everyone and I can see why someone wouldn’t want to take a risk, mistakes do happen. Everyone’s different, with me I try to keep some electrics cool as possible to keep them longer. Absolutely, it is too late, the ps5 should have backwards compatibility anyway so perhaps no need to keep the 4. With Days Gone it may have been all those patches?? Might have better optimisations as time went on and fixed the crazy fan speeds.
@GamingFan4Lyf Same happened to me, but mine got worse on the map menu. I got so tired of it I looked into ways to cool the PS4 and replaced the thermal paste with Liquid metal. Whisper quiet...I was convinced the fan was broke or didn’t connect a cable back correctly because it just didn’t seem to be on...but 6 months on even paying red dead 2 the fan still does not kick in to cool the PS4 down, whisper quiet constantly and I’m super happy with it. Just use a coat of clear nail polish over the diodes surrounding the cpu for peace of mind and don’t tilt the PS4 vertical or upside down and your good to go...6 months tried and tested, dead quiet on the most demanding game’s take care
