These 10+ Commodore 64 Games Are Coming to PS5 Soon

I saw the word "Delta" and I thought for a second they were bringing back the game Delta from the Commodore 64. But it turns out it's Delta Man, a game I've never heard of before.

Either way, the more retro compilations, the better, in my opinion

There is no way I'm not trying Chernobyl: Nuclear Power Plant Simulation. I played one called Chornobyl Liquidators and went in expecting another Powerwash Simulator. Instead experienced a very harrowing, raw but deeply educational game about the clean-up operation. It was historically accurate, definitely a tough play. Important too.

Back to school please. And the game with ade Edmonson who's title i cannot type on this wrbsite, also please.

Forbidden Forest was pretty scary when I was small. Nice to see it still gets some love.

Will this appeal to anyone who didn't have a C64 themself as a kid, or at least a friend with one?

I went from the Atari 2600 to a Sanyo MBC550 (an early DOS machine, predating the IBM PC - it had an overwhelming 256k RAM, when the C128 was shiny, new, and overpowered). That means I mostly skipped the C64, and this does nothing for me. I suspect anyone with less than half a century under their belt will be skipping this one - or am I wrong?

Commodore 64 was the first system I ever played games on. We had Flimbo's Quest, Fiendish Freddy's Big Top o' Fun, International Soccer, Klax and Postman Pat. Postman Pat was brutal, but it and the other games ignited my love for video games.

Best sign I ever saw held up by a spectator at a WWE event said simply "REMASTER FLIMBO'S QUEST".

I loved Skate or Die! Spent a lot of time on Club Caribe and RabbitJack’s Casino on Q-Link as well.

@RobN you are correct, this project only appeals to a very small group of people who play these games back then. Which is fine, not every game is for every player.

Would have nice to have Beach head 1 and 2. Loved those games.

Would love some Leaderboard Golf.

@kyleforrester87 Get where you're coming from. Whilst there's a lot of murky legals as to if/whom a lot of C64 games even belong to, this lot seem to be among the older titles.

Have read of a few of Thalamus's titles,(reborn as Thalamus Digital these days),have appeared on Evercade,a couple have had or having remasters for C64 players (& emulation), on Itch_io, in between publishing indies. Recently released a long dormant Head over Heels sequel on Amiga,with multiplatform versions planned.
Wouldn't be surprised current Atari has some given they own a lot of back catalogue stuff like Microprose but never seen any outside of mostly pc related on GOG. 🤔

We did get that System 3 collection but did regard they were asking a bit much & I loved their C64 stuff BITD!

@species There's already the Turrican Anthology out there,but ownership issues only saw the Amiga games bundled with the C64 Turrican/Turrican II still remaining with the original programmer & designer afaik.

Hopefully with recent settlements of the messy legals of OS rights with the current Amiga/Hyperion & cross licensing with the nouveau Commodore publishing some of old games might be less messy on current platforms.🙏

I think the nearest computer our family had to a C64 was the Amstrad 6128, which was great at the time, but I have no hankering to play such basic games again really.

Amiga-era games are more appealing to me really (though even that's probably mainly nostalgia too).

Aztec Challenge was one of my first every gaming memories when I was about 5 years old playing it in my room on a crt with my Dad, good times, I'll have to pick it up depending on the price

The Switch got the last Ninja, we get these. Not complaining, love the c64 getting love 30 odd years after I retired mine.
