Developer Milestone is unveiling new gameplay and details for Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush in the run-up to the game's launch, just over a month from now on 10th September.
Building on the Hot Wheels Unleashed series, Infinite Rush's big point of difference is its open world structure, and the below video goes into a bit more detail on this aspect:
Basically, the arcade racer is divided across four different maps that are yours to explore. Each has a unique theme, and you can hop between them by flying off a huge ramp, which is a very fun touch.

The trailer also touches on how you make progress in the game, and it seems to boil down to taking on rival racing crews.
You'll need to find race events across each island, in addition to various other open world activities, and claim victory from these other drivers to become the best of the best.
It all seems pretty straightforward, but you don't really need much more motivation than that in a racing game like this, in my opinion.
For me, if the driving is great fun, that's all it really needs to do, and that's certainly true of the Unleashed games so I'm fairly confident in Infinite Rush.
