Anime Open World Ananta Could Release Just 8 Weeks After GTA 6 on PS5 1

Ananta, the anime-inspired open world not to be confused with the already-available NTE, could release just eight weeks after GTA 6.

Promotional materials for the long-anticipated PS5 console exclusive – which is poised to make an appearance at Gamescom Opening Night Live later today – appear to have confirmed a 15th January release date for the title.

If accurate, I’d fully expect that date to be officially confirmed during Geoff Keighley’s shindig in a few hours. You can find out when and where to watch through here.

The leaked promotion points to a “global launch”, with pre-registration rewards available. It’ll be really interesting to see how this is received in a post-GTA 6 world.

I went hands-on with the title last year and was utterly blown away by the NetEase effort, which appears to have an unlimited budget.

In addition to Spider-Man style open world swinging, this title has all kinds of sandbox activities, including soccer, arcade games, and more. There’s no character gacha – instead, you’ll unlock cosmetic items for the cast.

I’ll obviously update this article should the release date get announced during ONL, but in the meantime, let me know if you’re looking forward to this in the comments section below.
