Ratchet & Clank Mobile Game Is Gearing Up for Global Launch 1

Sony has announced that its upcoming mobile game, Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, is making its global launch soon, with users of iOS and Android devices now able to pre-register.

The game has been playable in specific territories like Canada, the Nordics, France, and Asia, but is almost ready to make its full launch.

You can pre-register on the game's official site, and doing so contributes to global milestones; as they're hit, all players will unlock various in-game rewards upon Ranger Rumble's arrival.

Ratchet & Clank Mobile Game Is Gearing Up for Global Launch 6

Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is a free-to-play multiplayer hero shooter, developed by Oh Bibi in partnership with Sony and Insomniac Games.

You enter an arena and engage in competitive combat with some PvE elements for good measure. At launch it'll feature six game modes, each offering something slightly different, and you can play as one of 12 hero characters.

It seems that Oh Bibi is keen to stress its love for the franchise. "Staying true to the series has been at the heart of the project from day one," writes Stenislas Dewavrin on the PS Blog. "The signature humor, beloved characters, and gloriously inventive weaponry that have defined Ratchet & Clank for over two decades are all here, reimagined for fast-paced battles built specifically for mobile, with new characters and weapons to discover."
