PS5's Once Upon a Katamari Is Getting Bigger with Paid DLC Based on the Mobile Game 1

I feel like it flew a bit under the radar, but a brand new Katamari Damacy game launched last year on PS5. Called Once Upon a Katamari, the time-travelling arcade adventure is due to receive some premium DLC later this year.

The DLC is based on the mobile entry, Katamari Damacy Rolling Live, introducing content from that game into its console brethren.

Announced alongside a port to Switch 2, here's the trailer:

The Rolling Live Highlights DLC pack adds stages, as well as music and playable cousins, from the mobile title into Once Upon a Katamari.

It's all framed by the premise of the King of All Cosmos wanting to become a popular streamer, but by and large it looks like more of the same nonsense — rolling a ball around to pick up objects and grow gradually bigger.

You'll be able to enjoy 10 new quests, six characters, and a bunch of songs from the mobile game.

It's not known how much the DLC will cost, but it's due for release on 8th October 2026, so it's not too far off.
