Daybreak Games has announced a release date for its sci-fi co-op shooter, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2.
The sequel is locked and loaded for launch on PS5 on 25th August, 2026.
The news comes via the game's social feeds, with a brief gameplay teaser giving a glimpse of what to expect:
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 ups the ante from the first game in a few ways. You can now team up as a four-player squad rather than three, it features new and improved character classes, better customisation of weapons and equipment, and more.
The original was a decent but flawed attempt, and it seems the studio is aiming higher this time around. Fortunately, it won't be long until we can see if its efforts to improve the formula have paid off.
