An extremely unfortunate leak has forced HoYoverse to upend its carefully coordinated marketing plans for new Zenless Zone Zero region, Roscaelifer.
Those of you on social media will know one website accidentally published a 10-minute gameplay demonstration of the “city in the sky” earlier this week, which immediately went viral within the PS5 game’s community.
That’s forced the Chinese juggernaut to upload its own version of the video ahead of schedule, with the full reveal livestream not intended to take place until tomorrow.

The good news is that the incoming region looks excellent; inspired by European cities like London and Paris, there’s a very fresh flavour to this new location. Obviously, it will serve as the backdrop for the next year or so of content in ZZZ, so I’m satisfied with the vibes.
The trailer teases a ton of new mechanics, from a tea shop to a bakery stall, which will replace the scratchcard and dice minigames from the existing versions.
There’s also a new auto-chess style activity involving Bangboo, as well as tons of new gameplay with drones and even Ratchet & Clank-style rail sliding.
We also get to see the combat systems of several new characters, as well as a new boss fight. All will be presented in further detail during the Special Program on 6th June.
Overall, I’m excited to arrive in Roscaelifer. I think ZZZ has more competition than ever with NTE proving popular and Ananta on the horizon; it’s good to see HoYoverse is not resting on its laurels with this major v3.00 update.
