FromSoftware is putting out a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Elden Ring, dubbed the Tarnished Edition. It contains a few brand-new items and features alongside the base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, and those additions will also be making their way to the PS5 and PS4 versions of the game.
The Tarnished DLC Pack launches on 28th August 2026, and the developer has confirmed it will be a paid purchase. A press release mentions the contents costing 550 yen, which translates to roughly $3.44. I wouldn't expect to be paying anymore than $5 for this when it comes out.
FromSoftware shared a glimpse at the new armour sets and Torrent customisation items in a social media post:
The Tarnished DLC Pack contains two new classes: the Heavy Knight and the Knight of Ides. You also get four new armour sets (with one pictured above on the right), and some new ways of customising your mount, Torrent.
Will you take these bonus items for a spin in Elden Ring when they land on 28th August? Let us know in the comments below.
