This K-Pop Idol Tycoon Game Might Be Our Dream PS5 Sim 1

Every now and again, a game comes around that’s aimed directly at yours truly. In this author’s instance, People of Note was one such recent effort.

But few can compete with K-Pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut, a tycoon-style title where your entire objective is to recruit a group of girls and guide them to stardom.

You’ll need to scout, train, and manage the profile of your talent. What kind of aesthetic are you going for? Do you have the right visual for your group? Are your members training properly? Heck, are you working them too hard?

All roads lead to the stage, but you’ll need to make tough decisions along the way: time, rest, and money all factor into the ultimate outcome.

This game is being made by an Indonesian studio named Wisageni, and we wish it would have gone for a more anime or even manhwa aesthetic, rather than the HedKandi art style it’s adopted. But aside from that, this is right up our alley.

The title will feature an original k-pop soundtrack, which is pretty cool – although there’s no mention of any actual artists included, so we’re assuming this will all be music made specifically for the game.

Unfortunately, there’s still no release date just yet beyond a vague 2026 window, although pre-orders for physical PS5 copies are available from various retailers like Amazon right now.

Interestingly, some stores are showing a 17th July release date, so we’ll double-check with PQube to see if that’s accurate.
