It looks like the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption will be released on a disc in physical form next month, according to a new retailer listing from Spanish store Wakkap.
Portal Viciados picked up and reported on the store page, sharing a release date of 7th May 2026 for the boxed version and a €32.90 (~$38) price point. Rockstar Games has yet to officially confirm a physical edition for the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption, and no other retailer worldwide has any listing of their own at the time of writing.
Should the new disc version be a real thing, the developer should share the news publicly in the near future. Just like the current digital version on the PS Store, this physical edition is said to bundle the base game with the Undead Nightmare expansion.
When Red Dead Redemption was first ported to PS4, the physical edition arrived a few months after the initial digital release. The digital PS5 version launched back in December, and should this boxed version hit next month, it'll follow a similar pattern.
This PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption is already available on the PS Store, and is also included with PS Plus Extra and GTA+. If you want to own it on a disc, though, it sounds like the opportunity will present itself in a couple of weeks.

@danzoEX You have seen the picture before you clicked the article, right?
I wish they found room for GTA 4
Ughhh just want a native PS5 RDR2!
WHERE THE ***** IS RDR2 PS5 UPDATE YOU *****!!!???
This game was fun...16 years ago.
lol that company just keeps flogging dead horses.
Wake me up when the RDR2 PS5 update is out (maybe I'll never wake up)
@AdamNovice yes, it’s the most important game to me. ;(
We want a RDR2 PS5 60fps version. RDR is garbage in 2026.
@D6rkLordS6t6n
I‘ve never played it before and started it last year on Switch 2. Open world games have gone a long way…
Still no Red Dead 2 ps5 version ffs
@Max_the_German I'm sure he's just putting his initial thoughts into text. Got to read in-between the lines.
@Max_the_German sadly no lol all I saw was RDR and thought FINALLY but then I realized it’s about the first game lol
I actually like RDR 1 more than 2 tbh.
Great a RDR Disc to own for ever and ever.
@Max_the_German I did really enjoy this game when it released. I remember going to GameStop for its midnight release and played it through the early morning hours. Good times in 2010. I can't speak for how it has held up because I have no desire to play it again 16 years later. Such is my desire for all remasters, remakes, and other gaming relics of the past. That said, there is clearly a market for them.
This will surely satiate the legion of people waiting for a native PS5 version of RDR2.
@INeedGoodGraphics me too. I found the slow pacing of the second to be a snoozefest.
