A reworked and expanded version of the 2024 action RPG, Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok actually takes a pretty important step in the direction of welcoming new players.
It may not seem like much, but Cygames has confirmed that the upcoming re-release will feature a proper introduction, in which you'll be given a fairly straightforward recap of the events that lead up to Relink's plot.
This is essentially an outline of the stuff that gets covered in the main Granblue Fantasy mobile game and anime adaptation, as main character Gran embarks on a sky-faring adventure alongside a colourful cast of allies.

In the original Granblue Fantasy: Relink, you're pretty much plopped straight into the game's original narrative with little to no explanation of the events that brought the captain and his comrades together.
Admittedly, this introductory movie still isn't going to answer every question that newcomers may have, but it's still an improvement over Relink's undeniably cold approach.
Endless Ragnarok remains set for its 9th July release date on PS5 and PS4. Just to quickly recap, it includes new playable characters, gameplay adjustments, and a refreshed focus on endgame activities.
