After a rocky few years, Marvel is returning to the big screen in a major way with Avengers: Doomsday this December, and Marvel Rivals is spending the rest of the year building excitement for it.
The popular free-to-play multiplayer game has announced a Path to Doomsday, comprising several in-game events inspired by each Avengers movie.
This is set to start with an event in April based on the first film, and runs through each of the flicks every two months until we get to Doomsday on 18th December.
The first of these events will include a limited-time game mode; this will be an asymmetrical PvP in which one player controls Loki fighting against six other players as different heroes. To even the odds, Loki is souped up with "all-new" abilities.

Obviously this is all just marketing for the upcoming movie, but it's a very smart way to keep players engaged and fans happy throughout 2026. It sounds like these events will have some neat in-game modes at least, so if you're already playing Rivals, you could be in for a treat over the coming nine months or so.

Surely you'd think Tokon will do something similar when that comes out.
I love the marvel avengers films
I am big comic book fan and excited for Doomsday. If Rivals gameplay was anything near enjoyable when I tried it I would definetely try those. Still, great marketing for sure.
I know another game that just rushed to Doomsday… 🤣
