Bus Simulator's Original Devs Bounce Back with Rebranded Bus Bound on PS5 1

The original creators of Bus Simulator, the Austrian outfit Stillalive Studios, will prove they’re, well, still alive with the release of Bus Bound on the PS5 this 30th April.

The game, which will retail for a budget $29.99/£24.99, promises an “all-new driving-focused experience set in the evolving city of Emberville”.

We played this one a little bit at Gamescom last year and remember being fairly impressed with the depth and density of the city simulation, which seemed like a real step up from previous efforts.

Crucially, the game will feature a bunch of licensed American buses out of the box:

“Take the wheel of true-to-life buses from top American manufacturers, including the New Flyer Xcelsior 40ft CNG and the Blue Bird Sigma. With 17 buses available to choose from at launch, you’ll always have the right bus for the job.”

For more buses, a $39.99/£34.99 Deluxe Edition will also be available, featuring the “the Horizon Speed 40-foot bus plus three retro skins, and the ‘Bus Pass’, which grants access to three content expansions due out later in 2026”.

All pre-orders will also come with the Horizon Hydrogen 40-foot Gen2 bus and three modern skins.

We’ve had a lot of fun with these games in the past, mainly because they have a good sense of humour and an entertaining fusion of tycoon gameplay and traditional simulation.

This will be one to keep an eye on while the long wait for Euro Truck Simulator 2 goes on.
