I greatly enjoyed the Fable games on 360, but something about the art direction in this reboot is rubbing me up the wrong way. Too much realism and not enough whimsey.
Most definitely interested in anything Fable coming to PS5, but cautiously so.

If it's a big Xbox game under development, it should be understood it's a matter of when it comes to PS5, not if.

Absolutely loved fable 1&2, enjoyed 3 but not as much as the others. Would love all 3 to be ported in future. Hoping the new one recaptures some of that magic of the first 2

We've crossed the line since Halo and Gears are on PS5 now. There isn't any shock with this sort of thing anymore. At best, some games might be timed Xbox exclusive like Forza 6 but that's it. Still though, nice to see. I loved Fable 1.

Absolutely the game should go to PlayStation as well, the more Xbox studios games that go multiplatform the better.
I don’t think it will be day one for Fable like gears or Halo, maybe 6 months later.

See I like Xbox doing this because it may keep them making games and hopefully better games and also putting them all on GPU day one.
See love is fun, but money makes the games go round.

To follow up on my above post.
I do think now the good ole console fight is over, Sony could cash in more with some more of their games on PC and even Xbox if cheap and simple to port over.

They will not lose a single PS5 or PS6 console sale over it and might make some good money.

I would expect this to come out a bit after the Xbox/PC version, like with the Forza Horizon 6 game. Seems like they are porting games between 6- 12 months after the release. It might be intentional, as they need a value proposition for those AAA games on Game Pass, but it also might be that they are juggling PS5 dev kits too. With the amount of studios they have and priority with COD and other multiplayer games like Forza Horizon 6, they might not have enough for every single game right away.

Either way, more players getting to play these great games is only a good thing.

@graymamba pretty sure that’s the aim of every company - try to extract as much money as possible from the consumer. It’s the consumer responsibility to decide whether or not they’re willing to part with their money and for regulatory bodies to ensure consumer welfare is maintained and that companies are working within legality.

@graymamba not wow, just a response to the idea that there will be a “glut” of comments about Xbox taking money from “ponies”? Like, really? I’ve not seen one yet, and I would hope were one written it would be quickly removed for trolling.

I struggle with both PlayStation and XBox “fans” whose satisfaction and enjoyment from playing a title hinges more on the fact that others don’t have access to it, than the actual game itself. Absolutely moronic.

Fable is interesting. Haven't checked in with that series since the very first on the og Xbox. I remember it being a big disappointment from what Molyneux had promised, but I heard it got better with 2 or 3?

Curious how the new one will fare. If it indeed comes to PS5 I'll have my eye on it.

@Neither_scene Neogaf has a thread up on the importance or lack theroff on PS Exclusives. Vast majority seem to feel those days are over. Reddit, even IconEra. Mosy console gamers tend to feel they aren't a big deal.

I really hope they do collection other first three on Playstation some day.

@graymamba The funny thing about this is that you rarely see comments like this on Push Square (that's more prevalent on Pure Xbox), but you do unsurprisingly see a decent amount of PlayStation fanboys talk smack about Xbox in the comments.

Never played a fable game before but if it's got party members I'll give it a go solo adventure rpgs aren't really for me

@graymamba I'm serious, I see way more PlayStation fanboys on Push Square articles than I do Xbox fanboys. Not saying it doesn't happen at all, just not as common as you insist. If you want to see more Xbox fanboys, head on over to the Pure Xbox comment sections.

Fable is fun and i really hope that E-Day and State of Decay 3 also comes to PS5 eventually

@Questionable_Duck I think you’re missing my initial point. I was commenting on. PlayStation dedicated site that I was posting before Xbox-aligned fans try to spin this as some sort of win. Not that I only see PlayStation fans on push square and Xbox fans on pure Xbox. Probably not worth me bothering to explain though as people perceive what they want to see, not reality.

In all honesty, while there are clearly fans on either site, I tend to see more negativity towards PlayStation on Push Square and the same towards on Xbox on Pure Xbox than pure fanboyism (though there is that too no doubt).

However, you did use the word "glut", so I thought you were saying this was a frequent occurrence on Push Square or something. Sorry if I wasn't too clear on that.

As for the other part of your comment, I actually can agree with you. There definitely are fanboys on both sites, but tbh you have a point that it does sometimes feel like most of the comments are negative. I don't think most of those negative comments are from fanboys tho, it just seems like they're from disgruntled PlayStation and Xbox fans.

And while there hasn’t been a glut here on this article, maybe it’s due to my preemptive comment, as there sure as **** has been a glut of comments spinning this as a win for Xbox on similar such articles.

Well knock Microsoft and probably rightly so, but the future of gaming below will happen.

Yep overall consoles sales are slowly decline yes the switch 2 was the fastest selling console but outside Japan it’s falling off as per Nintendo life wrote.
The PS5 is behind the PS4 and that was after the massive discounts all of December in the UK and Europe.
And we all know the Xbox story.
Surely tech wise etc the long future will be no consoles
Just like sky UK have now stopped selling sky q and only selling sky stream. We will be forced into it one day.
Game steaming and that’s it, like it or not.
I think Xbox first, then Sony, then Nintendo will be the last of a console breed.
Maybe PC gaming will be the last download and play system in the future.

Just to say on my post above about the future is consoles.

I don’t want that that to happen, I want a top end console under my tv downloading games in full.
Luckily by the time it probably will happen, I will probably be incapable of playing games or dead 💀 🤣🤣

This story in and of itself isn't that mind-blowing considering Xbox's messaging. We already know Forza Horizon 6 is getting a delayed release on PS5. I'm more curious as to whether Fable and Gears of War: E-day will launch day one on the platform or not.
