Blackmail Is at the Centre of This Potentially Unsettling PS5 Game 1

There’s a glut of FMV games available on the PS5 these days, many of them stemming from British companies like Wales Interactive or various Chinese studios who make titillating romance titles.

Hacked: The Streamer is the first project by Istanbul-based Buttons Interactive, and it’s teasing a potentially unsettling story set for release later in 2026.

As with most of these games, you’ll be a passenger in an interactive live action experience, making decisions which influence the outcome of the story. The dev’s promising five different endings, determined by over 50 inflection points.

Effectively, you’ll be following the story of PinkyPie, a live streamer who’s hacked and blackmailed with, well, shall we say “uncompromising images”.

You’ll need to work through the evidence to determine who the culprit is: could it be someone you know? Or an obsessed fan who’s gotten a little too close?

The acting doesn’t look the best, but it rarely is in projects like this. The plot has potential, though, so we’re interested to see if it can stick the landing.

If you can’t wait for the final product, a demo is available on the PS Store right now. Let us know if you choose to check it out.
