Having worked on its own PS5 games in Silent Hill 2 and Cronos for the past few years, Bloober Team's new publishing label will properly kick into gear at the start of next year as it brings its first title to market.
The developer's first project to launch on PS5, I Hate This Place comes from Rock Square Thunder, releasing on 29th January 2026. It's an isometric, survival horror experience based around crafting, with a comic book art style. See some new gameplay in the trailer above.
The game is structured around a day-night cycle, where you explore the world and find resources and items for making things. Then, when darkness comes, more difficult enemies appear. As for the art style, it's based on the comic books of the same name by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin.

Hopefully it'll be up to their SH2 remake standard.
Here's hoping.
@hypnotoad I feel Cronos lived up to that level of quality, personally of course.
@Oram77 Never played it my mate.
Any good ?
@hypnotoad If you like Dead Space, you will like Cronos
@Oram77 I love that mate.
Thank you for the tip.
Sounds promising like a cross between Dark Woods, The Forest and Crow County.
@hypnotoad I agree with @oram77 that Cronos is a mix of Dead Space, RE, Silent Hill, and pretty much any other horror game of the past decade. It has elements of each that make it an amalgamation of really good ideas. Playing through it now, and will most likely get the platinum.
I would definitely need to see a review of this. Because the trailer doesnt do much for me.
@Metonymy Thought I'd mention you here in case you hadn't seen it already. Pretty sure you'll pick this up! 😉
@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Thanks! Looks like it could good. I’ll keep an eye on it for sure.
I am loving survival&horror getting at least 2-3 games to look forward every year. This in January and RE9 in February will be great.
Will sit comfortably next Silly Polly Beast in my library..
Also...why does she look like my ex!? Like exactly.. weird!
wishlisted! If some of you has PC, steam has its demo version. I tried-- damn it is so goooooood!
