Epic! Love some BR madness

Not a fan of BR but giving how much i'm loving BF6 i might as well at least try it.

At least this means some of the more COD minded bunny hoppers will go over to their favourite game mode.

Means more time for good ol’ fashioned warfare.

Yeah I'm all in. BF6 is just superb and I loved warzone until they ballsed it up so as long as they keep the day glow skins and cartoon characters out of it I'll play it.

Won't this dilute the player base? It's essentially competing with itself then

@TheFakulty and warzone is not competing with COD itself? Those are two different experiences tho. Multiplayer with 2 teams, or only fight for yourself. Nice cool missions to complete while battling other squads. And F2P will attract some of rhose who didnt want to spend money for BF6

Do u need to pay for ps plus to use it?

@REALAIS but isn't a COD a good example. Year on Year sales are declining for the paid game, which coincides with Warzone coming out. I know they make money on micro transactions but it's still split the player base.

@TheFakulty I would beg to differ. Yes, very likely COD MP numbers are down, but Warzone numbers are higher up. COD + Warzone has more players in total than COD would have on its own. No company would sustain both games if it wasnt be viable...

@REALAIS yes that is exactly what I am saying. So the bread and butter mp that most people loved in the paid up front games for COD is declining because the players are getting similar free content. Therefore reducing numbers. It's no coincidence that COD no longer releases paid dlc maps now as the reduced player base isn't worth it. This could up end the same for BF with more focus on the free to play if suddenly the numbers swell there. I dont play either game mp, so not gonna be affected but would be sad to see a return to form for BF, ruined by spreading out its player base

Is anyone else having video issues with game on ps5pro, or ps5 (im playing on pro) since the update? In the middle of the match, everything stays on the screen, hud, icons, etc but the graphics cut out to a black screen, can still move around, but can't see. On death you respawn back fine, no problem, but happens a couple times per match

Disregard my last comment. This is a known issue posted all over the battlefield forums. Such ashame. The game is unplayable with this happening at the moment. I just bought battle pass too with the intent to play all day today. Oh well. Hopefully a hotfix will be on the way. Cronos instead today

@WobberleyBob Thats not very big for modern games. I think that may be Battlefield's biggest strength to Cod. Can't win if the game isn't even installed on the console. I've wanted to play a Cod campaign every now and then but the install size made me rethink doing it.

@ThroughTheIris56 maybe it was, because this update broke the game. There's my issue I posted about here and the discussion board on EA forums have lit up with all kinds of tech issues post update. I swear, this series is jinxed. It was running flawless until they updated. I got the battlepass and was looking forward to a nice day long, fun grind today. Was having a blast with this game since launch day.

Just when you thought a flawless launch squashed any bad vibes they built with their past games, esp 2042. Now its back to the crap show right now.

I know they can hotfix this fast and I'll be patient, but still. Online games post updates all the time and can present some new bugs. But this update totally broke the game and its unplayable in this state. Good ol' Battlefield.

Not massively clued up on the difference myself, I just fire it up and play random multiplayer mostly. All of them are fun and I die quickly in all of them too.

@TheFakulty That's exactly what I was thinking. As someone that doesn't care for BR I'm not a fan of the move. Maybe 12 months after the BF6 launch or something but not this soon.

Watched quite a bit of this yesterday. The game mode adds nothing new from other br’s and is actually a little boring (to watch) felt very similar to warzone

@GoatFace04 Yeah, if you already own battlefield, the file size is a lot smaller. I got home last night and it was already done with the season 1 update.

This is so much better than Warzone.

Having played both modes last night, Gauntlet is by far the superior game mode. It's brilliant.

Tried it last night and enjoyed what I played. I’m not used to Battle Royales though so the time it takes to down a player was a little surprising. The map seems pretty decent though except for a few houses where I kept on falling through the floor. Disappointed you can’t go in solo either.
