Squanch Games has confirmed it's bringing High on Life 2 to PS5 on 13th February 2026, and accompanied the release date reveal with a lengthy gameplay video. It's 42 minutes of footage, in fact, and you can take a look above. While it's not available for pre-order just yet, you can add the sequel to your PS Store wishlist.
Set five years after the events of the first game, here's the story setup from the developer:
You’re on your way to a celebrity-endorsement event when a new bounty alert pops up on the network – for your sister, Lizzie. She’s been busy, too, building up her reputation as a freedom fighter/terrorist, depending on your perspective. After some secret things happen, you’re now the bad guy. Fortunately, you're armed with an arsenal of talking weapons, which are a mix of new and returning favorites including Knifey (Michael Cusack), Sweezy (Betsy Sodaro), Gus (JB Smoove), and, making his debut at gamescom, Sheath (Ralph Ineson).
That's High on Life 2 out for PS5 on 13th February 2026. Did you like the first game enough to be interested in a follow-up? Let us know in the comments below.

I meant to try first game after sequel announced. Depending on my tolerance for the dialogue I may play this too.
That VO cast is great though.
I never finished the first one due to an endless loading screen bug. The game itself was also very meh. Roylands humor gets broting and annoyong very fast. He justbrepeats the subjects and drags the joke out. Safe to say I'm not gonna bother with part 2
Enjoyed the game play and humor of the first one a lot. Limited Run has pre-order open for the standard and collector's edition
