Following last week's tease, it's now been confirmed that content from Halo 3: ODST will be arriving in Helldivers 2 on the same day the game's Xbox Series X|S port launches, 26th August. In the form of a Legendary Warbond, you can see what's in store in the trailer above.
The collaboration brings with it the following to Helldivers 2:
- MA5C Assault Rifle
- M6C / SOCOM Pistol
- M90A Shotgun
- M7S SMG
- A-9 Helljumper Armor Set
- A-35 Recon Armor Set

There'll also be an assortment of new capes, player banners, passive abilities, patterns, and player titles. The Legendary Warbond will cost 1,500 Super Credits when it launches next week, as it represents "a step up from previous Warbond tiers, and packed with gear worthy of the legend".
This is the first time Halo video game content has ever appeared on PS5, and drops on the very same day Gears of War: Reloaded makes its way to Sony's current-gen system, 26th August.
Will you be dressing up as an ODST next week in Helldivers 2? Let us know in the comments below.

Halo coming to PS5 also confirmed if that's the case.
What a time to be alive
This is awesome! I am going back for this!!
"This is the first time Halo video game content has ever appeared on PS5"
But wasn't Master Chief available in Fortnite? I thought I bought that a while back on my ps5.
@Jill_Sandwich Also Technically the BR55 was in Destiny 2 (called BxR-55 Battler) during the Bungie 30th anniversary event.
What a time to be alive.
Everything looks really good in the warbond. Congrats to Arrowhead for collabing with both Halo and Killzone.
The Warthog in Forza Horizon 5 is technically Halo content so that predates this.
@Jill_Sandwich Yeah, and I'm fairly sure there have been one or two others like it. There was a Spartan in a DoA game at one point, was that on PS?
This would be the first specifical Halo collaboration with a specifically PlayStation published game however. All previous examples were wither homage (see the Destiny X Halo content, which was never official) and/or on Platform "Live Service" games like Fortnite or Minecraft that are ubiquitous everywhere, as even Kratos is technically on Xbox via Fortnite.
Essentially, this is a ge urine statement of intent beyond collabing with a neutral game. Exactly what it means is unsure, but I'd confidently say we at LEAST see the upcoming Halo CE remake on PS5, possibly even at launch, and the MCC eventually.
Love this! A smart crossover, and happy about getting SOME Halo related stuff on PS5.

@Lysterao The Dead or Alive game that a Spartan appeared in (DoA4) was an Xbox exclusive, so it never came to PlayStation.
I haven't played Helldivers 2 in a little while because of other games and stuff going on. But I think 26th August will be the day for me to jump back in. I really love this game and ODST and will happily drop money on (yet another) Warbond.
Looks cool. Nothing really crazy weaponwise (I was hoping for the needler) but I recognized some of the guns from my Halo days. The fact the armor passive boosts stealth and detection radius is great since scouting is a key part of Helldiving.
The fact it costs $15 in game credits as opposed to the normal $10 can probably be chalked up to it being a crossover since HD2’s Killzone content wasn’t part of a warbond but the collective price was higher than the price of a normal warbond. Still a reasonable price and I have already earned the credits so I’ll be happy to spend them on new ways to defend democracy.
What a time to be alive
Is it limited time like they did with the killzone stuff?
@Questionable_Duck Ah fair enough, thought that could be the case but wasn't sure. I forget the 360 did have a surprising number of high profile Japanese exclusives all things considered.
Legally distinct Obedient Democracy Support Troopers!
@wildcat_kickz love it 🤣🤣🤣
What a time to be alive
@Americansamurai1 It’s a warbond so it won’t be time limited.
I couldn't give a flying whatever for Helldivers but let's hope we get ODST on PS5. Probably up there with the original for me & I'd love to play it again
Haven't played HD2 in a while now. Is this enough to make me want to play again.. naw
