Ubisoft

Ubisoft will not be hosting its annual Ubisoft Forward livestream this year as part of the summer season of gaming announcements. Instead, you'll see the publisher's titles appear in other showcases like the PC Gaming Show and IGN Live. Ubisoft also confirms it'll be part of Gamescom in August.

The news was confirmed to Game File journalist Stephen Totilo, with a Ubisoft representative stating: "We are always eager to connect with our players and showcase our games... We are continuing to explore opportunities to share updates, and we look forward to providing more information at a later date."

It's suggested Ubisoft doesn't have much in the way of new releases for the near future, so it has little to really show off on stage. A roadmap for Assassin's Creed Shadows has already been revealed, and besides that, the firm's public lineup consists of long-in-development projects like remakes of Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Of course, the company is also going through a lot of internal changes as it's spun out a subsidiary along with Tencent to work on the biggest Ubisoft IPs, like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six.
