With Switch 2 upon us, and with it a big, ambitious Mario Kart game, PS5 users may be left wondering — where's our spangly new kart racer?

Wonder no more, as publisher Microids has announced Garfield Kart 2: All You Can Drift.

From developer Eden Games, all we've seen so far is the above teaser trailer and a few screenshots, but the game is due for release on 10th September for PS5.

It seems the game will have you playing as various beloved Garfield characters as they race through themed environments, such as pirate, western, and detective.

Other kart racer staples are here, including pickups to use against other drivers, shortcuts to discover, and local and online multiplayer.

The original Garfield Kart released for PS4 all the way back in 2019, so it's been a while since Garfield's been in the driver's seat. If you're pining for some kart racing fun and haven't locked down a Switch 2 yet, it's good to know that lasagne-loving cat has our back.
