There’s no gameplay in this new 90-second Mafia: The Old Country trailer, but it does help set the tone of the upcoming Sicilian adventure. We get a glimpse of some new characters, like potential love interest Isabella.
“Through grit and determination, [protagonist] Enzo Favara has survived a childhood of indentured labour in Sicily’s hellish sulphur mines,” the press release reads.
“Now, through a twist of fate, he has the opportunity to join Don Torrisi’s crime family, and will do whatever it takes to carve out a better life for himself.”
There’s not much more to say about this one: the cinematics are looking fantastic. Remember, this game is not open world, and instead will be a narrative-focused linear single player adventure – with stunning visuals to match.

Still a bit disappointed at the transition from open-world to linear level design… but interested nonetheless. The narrative seems like it’ll be strong and the production values of the trailers cut scenes at least, look good, so 🤞it turns out well.
Shocked at lack of gameplay given the upcoming release. I’ll wait on that before a Day 1 purchase.

Really looking forward to this, love a good liner single player game especially in this huge RPG fest we seem to be in these days!
Lost all interest when they announced it isn't open world
50 bucks for beatiful looking linear, cinematic action adventure game instead of another 50+ hours 70 bucks icon-cleaning borefest. More of this please!

Me too, in fact I’m thinking of going back to Mafia 3 and finishing off the plat as someone on psnprofiles has posted a comment on how to get round Hanger13’s mess without messing around with reverting to a previous patch. I enjoyed Mafia 3, especially the music.
Pre-ordered a few weeks back, really looking forward to this one in August!
